Terms of Service
Effective October 18, 2026. These terms cover your use of Surfra, the dashboard at app.surfra.io, the API, the CLI, and the runner. By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of yourself and any organization you create or join.
The short version.
Surfra is a control plane. Your clouds stay yours and bill you directly. We charge for the plan, for machines you register, and for log overage you turn on. Prices change only at the end of a term.
1. What Surfra provides
Surfra queues requests, starts and stops machines in the cloud accounts you connect, runs work on machines you register, and keeps logs. Cloud accounts, the machines started in them, and their bills belong to you. Surfra does not resell compute or mark up cloud prices. You are responsible for the charges your clouds bill you, including for machines Surfra starts on your instructions.
2. Accounts and organizations
Billing, limits, and data belong to an organization. Owners and admins can invite and remove people, change the plan, and manage the card. You are responsible for what happens under your account and your API keys. Keep them secret.
3. Plans and prices
Free Forever costs nothing. Team is $30 a month or $288 a year. Machines you register are free for 3 months from the first one, then $2 per machine a month on Free Forever. Team includes 25 machines, then $1 per machine a month. On Team you can turn on log volume overage at $0.25 per GB and search overage at cost; both are off until you turn them on and stop at the caps you set.
Card processing is added to every amount Surfra charges. Team is $31.44 a month or $299.07 a year as charged. Usage invoices add one Payment processing line. Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes, which are added where required.
4. Trials
The Team trial lasts 7 days, once per organization, and needs no card. If no card is on file when it ends, the organization returns to Free Forever. The machine trial lasts 3 months from the first registered machine. After it, registered machines need a card on file. Without one, they stop taking new work until a card is added. We email the organization's owners and admins 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before a trial ends.
5. Billing, renewal, and late payment
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term and are charged to the card on file. Machine charges are billed monthly. Usage charges are billed as they accrue, once they reach $1. If a payment fails and stays unpaid for 7 days, registered machines stop taking new work until it is paid. Fees already incurred are owed. Except where the law requires, payments are not refundable.
6. Price changes
We may change prices at the end of a term. We tell you before your renewal, and the new price applies from the next term. A price never changes in the middle of a term you have paid for.
7. Cancelling
You can cancel Team at any time from Billing. It stays active until the end of the paid term and does not renew. You can remove registered machines at any time to stop their charge. We may end or suspend service for non-payment, abuse, or a breach of these terms, and otherwise with 30 days' notice.
8. Your content and logs
You keep all rights to your code, containers, inputs, outputs, and logs. You give Surfra permission to store and process them only to run the service for you. You are responsible for what your apps print and send to Surfra, including any personal data in logs. Logs are kept for 24 hours on Free Forever and 30 days on Team, then deleted. Surfra may refuse log data past your plan's limit.
9. Acceptable use
Do not use Surfra to break the law, to break a cloud provider's terms, to attack other systems, to mine cryptocurrency on machines you do not own, or to get around plan limits. Limits can be raised on request from Billing.
10. Beta
Surfra is in public beta. Features may change. The service is provided as available and as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Surfra's total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the affected organization paid Surfra in the 3 months before the claim. Surfra is not liable for cloud provider charges, lost logs, lost worker output, lost profits, or indirect damages.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we email owners and admins at least 30 days before they apply. Using Surfra after that means you accept them.
